Day 3

BEFORE

I really liked this Gas and Oil sign, not only for the rough and ragged Christmas light covered roof, but for the weathered and aged appeal.

AFTER

I did this guy on a little  2"x 8" inch piece of yellow phonebook paper. I used a sharpie marker for the words and chalk pastel for the rusty effect.

Day 2

BEFORE

 For my second post...
using charcoal pencils...

AFTER

The Berlin sign with gunshot holes evokes certain emotions that was a deciding factor in picking which sign to re-create.

Day 1

BEFORE

For my first post, I decided I would try to re-create this old popcorn sign using only chalk pastel.

AFTER

I didn't quite have the pastel colors to match the sign exactly. I also altered the format slightly. Chalk pastels are a little more messy than I remembered but over all it turned out Alright.
